A 30-year-old man was arrested in Korça after burning a vehicle

A 30-year-old man was arrested today in Korça, after being accused of burning a vehicle.

The Blues inform that the citizen with the initials GS has been taken into custody

The investigation showed that the 30-year-old has a previous criminal record in the field of narcotics.

"Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Korça Police Station, after an intensive investigative work for the event that happened on 27.09.2023, in neighborhood no. 10, of the city of Korça, where the vehicle owned by citizen GS was burned, made it possible to identify the suspected perpetrator.

As a result, the citizen SP, 30 years old, living in Korça (with a previous criminal record in the field of narcotics, crimes against the person and illegal possession of weapons) was caught and arrested in the act.

From the investigative actions and from the evidence provided, it turned out that this citizen set fire to the "Benz" type vehicle, owned by the GS citizen, and as a result the vehicle was partially burned. The 30-year-old, at the moment when the Police forces intervened in the apartment with the aim of arresting him, he resisted them", - informs the Police.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
