Execution of Ardian Nikulaj/ Lezha Prosecution closes investigations into Ruben

The Lezha Prosecution Office has closed the investigation into Portuguese Ruben Saraiva, accused of the murder of businessman Ardian Nikulaj in Shengjin.

The 29-year-old appeared at the prosecutor's office this Friday, where he was charged with "blood feud murder" and "unlicensed possession of a weapon."

The criminal file is now expected to be sent for trial to the Lezha Court, separate from the file of the other defendants, who have not yet been extradited from the United Kingdom.

Ardian Nikulaj was murdered on April 19, 2023 inside his bar in Shëngjin. The suspected mastermind and organizer is Edmond Haxhia, who has been arrested, along with three Britons Thomas Mithan, Steve Hunt and Harriet Bridgeman.

All four have been handcuffed, after British authorities accepted the request made by the State Police as legitimate.
