Residents of Hotolisht in Librazhd again took to the streets this morning to protest on the Librazhd-Përrenjas national road in protest against the “Elbasan-Qafë Thanë” road project, which is expected to pass through the middle of the village. There were verbal clashes and scuffles between the protesters and the police.

Residents are demanding expropriations at higher prices and the construction of the tunnel. They are holding banners against the project, but also against Minister Belinda Balluku. One of them reads: "The village is destroyed, Belinda is built."

The protest escalated when residents attempted to block the road, which led to the intervention of police forces.

"Civil disobedience is our path. We demand the protection of our lives, homes and dignity. We will continue with the protests and the boycott of the elections," they declared.

Meanwhile, residents and children are sitting cross-legged in the street in protest.

This is the residents' second protest, and they warn that they will not give up the protests until their demands are met.
