Albanian-Moroccan educational organization is hit, 20 people are in handcuffs

An Albanian-Moroccan criminal organization was dismantled by the Carabinieri of Città di Castello.

The gang members, aged between 43 and 49, of Moroccan and Albanian origin, were allegedly involved in the cultivation and trafficking of narcotic plants.

Last September, in the framework of the same investigative activity coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of Perugia, two other subjects aged 24 and 23, of Moroccan origin, were arrested with precautionary measures for the same crimes.

The Carabinieri operation focused on the wooded and suburban areas of Umbertide where a real activity of trading significant quantities of drugs, especially cocaine, had been organized. Numerous checks carried out on buyers made it possible to identify at least 20 people and seize the purchased doses.

The investigations that led to the execution of the restraining order took a year and are the result of shadowy and investigative activities carried out by the military, including the use of drones. Those arrested are accused of possession and trafficking of large quantities of cocaine.
