Wanted for the murder of Valter Fierza, the 39-year-old is arrested after a year

The police of Shkodra have arrested a 39-year-old man, who was wanted for the murder of Valter Fierza, the event that happened a year ago in the village of Hot i Ri.

As part of the "Rule of Law" operation, Enton Dushaj was arrested, accused of "Supporting the author of the crime", "Discrediting the crime" and "Production and sale of narcotics".

The Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Shkodër has assigned to the 39-year-old the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses of "Supporting the author of the crime", "Discrediting the crime" and "Production and sale of narcotics", in in connection with the event that happened on 21.09.2023, in the village of Hot i Ri, where a VF citizen was killed with a firearm

As material evidence, the motorcycle driven by the 39-year-old man was seized.

Following the checks for the capture of the wanted citizens, based on the police intelligence about a wanted citizen who was driving a motorcycle on the road of the village of Dobraç, the Specialists of the Serious Crimes Sector of DVP Shkodër, in cooperation with the services of the Force Especially "Shqiponja", organized the work and as a result caught and detained the citizen ED, 39 years old, resident of Shkodër.

EVENTS

Valter Fjerza, 33 years old, was killed on the evening of September 21, 2023 in the village of Hot i Ri in Shkodra, just a few meters from his apartment.

The young man was going by car to the bar in the village after learning that his brother, Col. Fjerza, was having a conflict with 5 boys from the Mhilli tribe.

The quarrel between Col. Fjerza and the suspected perpetrator, Klodian Mhilli, had arisen over a parking space in the neighborhood's alley. 24-year-old Mhilli claimed that 35-year-old Fjerza had blocked his way to enter the apartment. The author is still being sought, while the author's brother, Paolo Mhilli, has also been arrested.

It seems that this was an early conflict between them, which he perceived in a loud argument in the bar. The 24-year-old had taken 4 family members with him to face Col. Fierza.

While the victim Valter Fjerza was not part of the conflict. He went to the outside premises of the bar after learning that the brother was alone in front of 5 boys aged between 20 and 38 years old, who were armed. As soon as he saw Valter getting off the highway, 24-year-old Klodian Mhilli shot him with a machine gun, leaving him dead on the spot. The dead body of the 33-year-old was found by the police outside the car, while the author and the other 4 escaped.
