Investigation/ Police officers park private vehicles in violation of rules, avoid fines with Police symbols

Investigation/ Police officers park private vehicles in violation of rules,

Police officers park private vehicles wherever they can, even though they violate the rules.

They use emblems, signs, hats, state police symbols and even phone numbers starting with 41, just to avoid fines. Fiksi conducted an observation on the streets of Tirana, mainly near police stations, the streets around them, as well as parking lots reserved for residents.

The observation initially began behind Police Station No. 4 in Tirana, where the signage on this road indicates a ban on standing and parking on both sides with two senses. But it looks different in reality, where both lanes of the road are blocked by parking of private cars of police officers. This is understood that they have placed emblems, signs, i.e. symbols of the state police on their windows to avoid being fined.

The Fix camera even showed that in addition to the police symbols, they also have fictitious fines, to show that they have been fined for the violation they have committed. On this same road, two cars were also parked on the white lines, thus blocking the passage of pedestrians. Both cars had foreign license plates, but bore the stamp of the state police.

Under these conditions, the journalists from Fiksin called the traffic police, who upon their arrival explained that all the drivers of these vehicles were in violation of road traffic. They began to impose administrative measures against all vehicles parked on this road, including vehicles that had installed additional visual systems in violation of the law.

The same situation was recorded by the camera of Fiksi at the Tirana Police Department. Here too, police officers had parked and stood their vehicles in violation of road traffic regulations. These vehicles were wearing state police emblems, hats and symbols. They were also parked in the spaces reserved for residents.
The picture is the same for Police Stations No. 3, 2 and 1.

The main road where Police Station No. 3 is located, a two-way street with no-stop and parking signs, is almost blocked by parking of private police vehicles. The vehicles have distinctive signs such as emblems and other police symbols to avoid administrative measures.

At Police Station No. 1 and 2, the private vehicles of the police officers are parked in the residents' spaces, and there is also parking on the sidewalk. Top Channel
