The coordinator of DASH Against Corruption meets with Duman and SPAK prosecutors

The Global Anti-Corruption Coordinator of the American government, Richard Nephew, arrived in Tirana today. 

He met this afternoon with the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, SPAK prosecutors and representatives of other justice institutions. 

"Global Anti-Corruption Coordinator Richard Nephew saw the Albanian judicial institutions in action today during meetings with the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, SPAK prosecutors, as well as representatives of the Anti-Corruption Ministry, the High Inspectorate of Declaration and Control of Assets and Conflict of Interest (ILDKPKI) and the Public Procurement Agency.

Nephew and Albanian officials discussed ongoing efforts to strengthen the independence of the judiciary and the fight against corruption. The United States will continue to support the justice institutions that are strengthening Albania's democracy as it progresses on its path to the EU ," the American embassy informs.

Earlier, the US embassy has emphasized that official Nephew will reaffirm US support for justice reform and efforts made to fight corruption and good governance.
