A quantity of 18 kg of cocaine was found in his villa in Fushë Kuqe.

At the border point of Morini in Kukës, the citizen, Erald Hysolli, was arrested with 7 kilograms of cocaine. He played the role of the courier of the drugs he had received in Pristina. At the same time, 3 people were arrested red-handed in Pristina, and 50 kilograms of cocaine and heroin were seized.

However, during the checks carried out at Gezim Çela's house in Fushë Kuqe in Mamurras, 18 kilograms of heroin and 150 kilograms of sativa cannabis were found. Also, 9 guns, 3 snipers, grenades and armored cars were seized.

Gëzim Çela declared wanted

Çela was released by the Albanian court with the argument that he was suffering from a serious illness. Then he was arrested for falsifying the medical card and was put under "house arrest". But when the police surrounded Çela's house in Mamurras, he was not there.

When he arrived in Albania, the drugs were sent to Gëzim Çela's house, in Fushe Kuqe. From where the final destination was the countries of the West. During the search at Çela's house, the police were able to seize 20 canisters of acetone and 500 liters of mixer. Çela had turned the family's villa into a laboratory for mixing drugs. Çela was wanted as the head of this drug trafficking network.

For Çela, there is a sentence from the Italian courts with 11 years in prison and a 150 thousand euro fine, for drug trafficking.

Before 1997, Çela was a Special Forces officer.
