A 45-year-old man in Pogradec has been put in handcuffs after he is suspected of trafficking an amount of 52.6 kg of the narcotic substance cannabis towards Greece.

During the search of his "Benz" type vehicle, which he had parked in the yard of the apartment, 2 bags with 52.6 kg of suspected cannabis narcotics were found in total. The 45-year-old, according to the police, had secured the narcotic substance from other citizens and would then traffic it with his vehicle towards North Macedonia, with the final destination being the Greek state, against a profit of 500 euros/kg.

As material evidence, narcotics, a vehicle and a mobile device were seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
