From PCR test to 10-day quarantine, new rules for traveling to Austria

Full notice:

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announces that starting from 15 September 2021, only fully vaccinated persons, either with a medical certificate who have passed Covid-19 and are cured, or aged 12 and over will be allowed to travel from Albania to Austria without having to be quarantined.

All unvaccinated travelers can enter Austria, but:

must be pre-registered at (Pre Travel Clearance English)

submit a negative COVID-19 test and stay in compulsory quarantine for 10 days in a hotel or residence, at their own expense. Quarantine can end after 5 days with a negative test.

The categories that are excluded from the registration and quarantine requirements are:

Those who travel for business purposes;

Humanitarian force;

Minors between the ages of 12 and 18 entering Austria under the supervision of fully immunized persons;

Those entering the country for unpredictable, urgent, family reasons such as (serious illness, family death, funeral, birth), which will be assessed and considered as such by the relevant authorities.
