Offensive Albanian player, UEFA punishes Marko Arnautovic

Austria will be without striker Marko Arnautovic for Thursday in the Euro 2020 Group C match against the Netherlands after he was penalized by UEFA.

An investigation was opened by UEFA after celebrating Arnautovic's goal in Austria's victory over Northern Macedonia after coming on as a substitute on Sunday.

Arnautovic, who is of Serbian descent, apologized Monday for his reaction to fans in northern Macedonia but denied that he had used racist language against them.

But again the UEFA Board of Appeal decided: “To suspend the player of the Austrian Football Federation, Marko Arnautovic, for the next match of the UEFA representative team. The UEFA Appeals Body said on Wednesday that it had suspended Arnautovic after "insulting" another player.
