Two SPAK prosecutors are suspended from duty

Two SPAK prosecutors, Ervin Gogaj and Alfred Shehu have been suspended. The cause was the complaint of the prosecutor Sonila Muhametaj, who was disqualified by the High Prosecution Council (KLP).

Prosecutors competed for the two vacancies announced by the KLP for SPAK. Muhametaj was not selected and appealed the decision to the Administrative Court.

The court accepted the appeal and assessed as irregular the procedures for the election of two prosecutors, Gogaj and Shehu, therefore decided that the procedure in which the competition took place should be reviewed.

Currently, SPAK has 17 prosecutors and with their suspension, this institution already has 15 such. In its staff, SPAK should have 20 prosecutors.
