Proda requests an increase in the budget for the State Police

The General Director of the State Police, Ilir Proda, has reported to the parliamentary committee of National Security what belongs to the next year's budget, where he requested an increase in funds for the State Police.

He said that the Police should have their own vehicles, as the ones that are rented have a high financial cost. Proda has also said that the Police structure needs about 700 vehicles.

"Rental vehicles have a very high cost. And a large part are amortized. It would be better to have our own tools. We need about 700 vehicles", said Proda.

"Additions for the investment of the vehicles to be purchased should be seen as a priority. 50% of the vehicle fleet is depreciated. We have to buy the vehicles because we have big costs with rental cars", added the chief police officer Ilir Proda.
