The government decides to abolish tourist visas for 5 countries

At today's Council of Ministers meeting, it was decided to lift visa requirements for countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Thailand and Indonesia.

This decision will remain in force for a limited period from April 15 to December 31, 2025.

DECISION:

DECISION ON AN AMENDMENT TO DECISION NO. 858, DATED 29.12.2021, OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS, “ON DETERMINING THE CRITERIA, PROCEDURES AND DOCUMENTATION FOR THE ENTRY, RESIDENCE AND TREATMENT OF FOREIGNERS IN THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA”, AMENDED

In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and Articles 6 and 29 of Law No. 79/2021, “On Foreigners”, upon the proposal of the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Minister of the Interior, the Council of Ministers

DECIDED:

1. Point 3 of Annex No. 3, attached to Decision No. 858, dated 29.12.2021, of the Council of Ministers, “On the determination of the criteria, procedures and documentation for the entry, stay and treatment of foreigners in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, is amended as follows:

"3. List of countries whose citizens enter the Republic of Albania without a visa for tourist purposes and with the "passport" document for a limited period, from April 15 to December 31, 2025."

2. The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Interior are responsible for the implementation of this decision.

This decision enters into force upon publication in the "Official Gazette".
