Rama threatened justice, Manjani: Lower your mind and do something, because

Lawyer Ylli Manjani commented on Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements this Wednesday in relation to the arrest of the mayor, Erion Veliaj, and the investigation against the chairwoman of the Laws Commission, Klotilda Bushka.

While reminding the prime minister of the fate of dozens of people who are behind bars without ever being questioned, Manjani, through a status on social media, emphasizes that the prime minister should not rave about arrests without evidence or trial, but rather draft democratic laws, not laws that allow arbitrary decisions.

As for information:

The detention center is full of people who were never questioned before being arrested. At least Klotilda Bushka is free and without security measures.

In all the institutions where the detainees are accommodated, there are long lines of women and minor children waiting to meet their fathers. No child is blessed with this fate, to be honest! Certainly not Erion's child.

As I have said, the application of prison arrest outside the context of flagrancy and, against non-defendants, is considered deprivation of liberty without evidence. Part of the blame lies with the justice system, but the law also has a big hole in this matter. The Prime Minister should not make any fuss about arrest without evidence and without trial, but draft democratic laws that have logic and meaning, not laws that allow the next person to make decisions as he pleases.

Now, to the Prime Minister, I say: welcome to my club!

But unlike me and others like me, he has to make up his mind and make laws to be. He has to do this together with these cacophonists of the opposition.

Labeling yourself "dumdumani" or "Karagjoz prosecutor" is not a solution...

Lower your spirits and do something, because injustice is massive, not selective!
