HSC report: The police do not respond to citizens, the 112 service does not work

The State Police has not addressed the citizens' complaints, leaving them without answers to the concerns and problems they had.

The High State Control over the activity of the responsible structures of the State Police has reached this conclusion.

According to an audit carried out by KLSH, the General Directorate of the State Police and three local directorates of the police of Tirana, Shkodra and Durrës, it turned out that there are some shortcomings, reports Euroneës Albania.

Deficiencies have been identified in the field of human resources regarding the lack of completion of structures, high staff turnover and specific training.

"Another problem identified during this report has to do with the malfunctioning of the unique emergency number 112".

This number currently works for the city of Tirana and partly in areas outside it, while other cities do not have access.

Currently, the Local Police Directorates of our country still continue to use landline and mobile phones free of charge, based on these conditions during the audit it was found that there are phone calls that are not registered in the system, there are cases when communication with the citizen has not been achieved, the call was not registered in the system and the caller was not retrieved from the operating room. It is also evident that the response time of police structures to calls from citizens was generally higher than the target time of 13 minutes.
