At the end of each day so far, I find it difficult to synthesize in thoughts and feelings the multitude of everything I am going through as the spokesperson for this electoral campaign, although in the closing chaos of each day, I have no other thought than gratitude to fate and the people who allowed me to experience this experience, an experience that the pace towards the goal of victory deprives me of seeing simply and only as such. Thanks to this task, I have been involved for days in several dimensions of the development of this electoral campaign, from the rigor and strictness of official meetings to the naturalness of loosening the tie in front of the open hearts of hundreds of thousands of Albanians in every corner of the country.

This campaign of ours has had all the nuances so far, from essence to emotion, from the memory of what we were for to the vision of what we will be for, from reflection to self-confidence, relentless in its effort to be the strong blue team that ensures it enjoys the victory it seeks with the persistence of stubbornness without negotiating dignity, without compromising the model, without deviating from the axis of Albania's example with us. Witnessing these, in the notebook of my mind or hand, I have not been able to escape reflection even in the intensity of these days.

One such was a few days ago a meeting with the ladies, women and girls candidates for deputies of the Democratic Party and the Alliance for a Greater Albania in the Tirana district, a close meeting that for me constitutes the cover of the doctrine, albeit unwritten, of this election campaign. Ladies with strong opinions in the softness of divine nature. In the almost stony harshness of the Albanian political terrain, I perceived them as no less than the personification of stoicism. Not that I do not know Albanian women as such, but because in this election campaign the contrast with the reflection they have in front of them made them so stoic in my eyes.

In the speech of each of them, I saw the same work philosophy, the same character approach, the same model of woman unfolded between the words. Entrepreneur, academic, artist, lawyer, diplomat, activist, etc., politically each of them resembled a leader so worthily. Leaders in the way they conveyed meetings with citizens, how they invested in criticism and self-criticism to further improve our offer to Albanians, leaders in the certainty with which they confessed that they were leading the political discourse on the ground just as in this meeting, at the forefront of the campaign, remaining stoically true to the model of value, nobility, courage to seek the privilege of representation with ability, skill and only work.

Nuk bëra dot më shumë gjatë këtij leksioni politik se sa të ndihesha krenar për gruan demokrate, për mua portreti i fushatës sonë zgjedhore. Si ishin zonjat deputete sot, është fushata jonë prej ditës së parë të start-it të kësaj maratone.

Është e vërtetë se kundërshtari nuk zgjidhet, por sa i pafat paska qenë ky vend për ta përjetuar politikisht një garë ku kontrasti i fushatave dhe modeleve është kaq i mprehtë, një hendek i thellë deri në errësirë. Teksa zonjat kandidate zhvillonin takimin me liderin demokrat, imponuese në mendim po aq sa në vizion, nuk e ndalova dot pavetëdijen e të krahasuarit të tyre me zonjat e kampit përballë. Në respektin ndaj figurës së gruas, kurrë s’do të mundja të hamendësoja padenjësinë e këtyre të fundit për të qenë përfaqësuese politike, por a mund të jenë ato një model në fushatën që u ka rënë për hise?

Rreshtuar shpesh në takimet e estradës së cirkut të “one man show” i kam parë kokulura, jo rrallë herë me gjestikulacione të parehatisë dhe sikletit sa herë lideri i tyre shfrenon fantazinë verbale në funksion të fushatës së batërdisë që ai mendon se ushqen turmën. A mund të jetë e tillë një grua udhëheqëse, e paaftë për të mbrojtur dinjitetin e saj në partinë tek e cila ka zgjedhur të investojë kohë, punë, vizion? Ka prej tyre edhe të përshtatura më me lehtësi në funksion të elozheve për liderin, pak minuta pasi vetë ai ka njollosur çdo kod të etikës dhe komunikimit njerëzor. A mund të frymëzojë i tillë model gruaje, ajo që as përdhosja e karakterit njerëzor me fyerje sa banale aq edhe bulliste, as vulnerabiliteti me të cilin fëmijët bëhen pjesë e tentakulave të ndyta në komunikimin e kryeministrit, as lëndimi i plagëve njerëzore, nuk i nxjerr nga kllapia e mosreagimit? Ato rreshtohen nënshtruar vullnetit të tij për ta bastarduar deri në skaje fushatën zgjedhore të socialistëve. Është dhe ky një model gruaje, por kurrsesi i gruas shqiptare, aq më pak asaj shtetare në politikë.

Dinamizmi i orëve të gjata të secilës ditë ma shpjegon arsyen pse fushatat zgjedhore mbahen mend gjatë. Kësaj radhe, me shikim më të kthjellët si zëdhënës i kampit blu, kam bindjen se kujtesën kolektive do ta shënjojë shumë më shumë se dimensioni politik i fushatës, dimensioni social i saj manifestuar në këtë kontrast të frikshëm modelesh, dy modele gruaje, dy modele fushatash. Dëshmohet në narrativen e çdo dite, përplasja e dy fushatave, një kontrast si me thikë që ndan dy botë politike. Gruaja udhëheqëse përballë gruas së intimiduar; modeli i dinjitetit, fisnikërisë, vlerës, përballë modelit të përçartjeve emocionale dhe karakteriale shpërthyer pa drojë në një kamp ku nënshtrimi ndaj dëshirave edhe komunikative të liderit është kusht mbijetese, edhe për gratë.

Under other circumstances, I would probably feel uneasy in the doubt of whether this contrast of models is perceived by Albanians. The meetings, albeit fleeting, with men, boys, women and girls in these days that I would call a pilgrimage closer to Albanians, closer to Albania, have left no room for this doubt. Wherever we step to seek a vote of confidence, I feel how close our model is to them, how far their model is from the Albanian. The democratic woman represents the strength and dignity of the Albanian woman, our model represents the freedom, values, principles that guide Albanians. They are so foreign, so I no longer have any doubt about how loudly this contrast screams!
