The figure was confirmed by the governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, in a statement to the media. According to him, the Albanian economy experienced an increase of 6% in the first 6 months of the year, but in the second 3 months, July-September, it experienced a decrease again.

" Inflation increased in July and August, 7.5% and 8%. The main contribution to inflation comes from the increase in the price of food and oil. The trend of increasing prices is coming to all products. The war in Ukraine caused problems in the markets of basic food, energy and other basic materials.

The Albanian economy continued to grow in the first 6 months of 2022, while it decreased in the second 3 months of this year. According to INSTAT, the economic growth decreased to 2.2% from 6% in the first 6 months ", declared Sejko.
