 UEFA launches probe into Albanian striker Arnautovic              

The Austrian striker, although he falsely asked for the nationalist insult to Ezgjan Alioski, will face an investigation by the main governing body of European football.

UEFA has appointed a disciplinary inspector to investigate Arnautovic's racist insult to Alioski.

The Austrian star has denied being racist while apologizing after the insulting attack on his team's victory over Northern Macedonia.

The federation said the insult was directed at Ezgjan Alioski, who is of Albanian origin. Arnautovic's father is Serbian and his mother is Austrian, writes Goal.com.

The striker has been accused of using a word on racial charges during his confrontation with Alioski, but Arnautovic has denied it.

"I would like to apologize, especially to my friends from Northern Macedonia and Albania. I would like to say one thing very clearly: I am not a racist. "I have friends in almost every country and I stand for diversity," the  striker wrote, but UEFA has launched an investigation.
