Tragic in Bulqiza/ 48-year-old dies in gallery after rocks collapse

A serious incident occurred this afternoon in the Martanesh mining area, in Bulqiza, where an employee of a mining entity lost his life as a result of the collapse of a rock massif.

The incident occurred at around 12:30 inside the mine gallery, where it is suspected that during the work process a considerable amount of rocks collapsed, crushing the employee AC, 48 years old, resident of Krastë. Unfortunately, he died as a result of the injuries he sustained.

Police services and an investigation team have arrived at the scene, working to clarify the circumstances of the accident and determine whether safety measures were respected in the workplace.

The event once again brings to attention the issues related to mine safety and the difficult working conditions for hundreds of miners in this area.
