The former head of the CEC and expert on legal issues, Kristaq Kume, has expressed criticism of the judge who has been assigned to review the two statutes of the Democratic Party.

In an interview with Report Tv, Kume says that the only thing the judge should have done so far is to consider whether the statutes are in accordance with the Constitution. For Kumen, the judge's delay is unnecessary.

"The only thing the judge does is to see if the changes in the statute are in accordance with the Constitution. This document containing the changes is deposited in the PD file. Why are you dragging her? The judge who was shortlisted to review the December 11 changes initially demanded his resignation, was not accepted and has not yet been engaged. This is not a big deal. It should have been done. Why not? The judge and the president of the court should be questioned. "All this takes a load that creates opportunities for political interpretations", said Kume.

As for the possibility of running for Berisha's group, the Re-establishment Commission, Kume said they have only two options to run on March 6th.

"It definitely participates. He has two options, the candidates who have the support of the Rithemel of the Democratic Party. Either they will register as Independent Candidates, or the opposition parties that will register can come together and accept Berisha's candidate in the SP as a candidate who will run on behalf of the coalition. There is no other way. "The grouping cannot be an electoral subject itself," he said.
