Voting from abroad, over 14 thousand requests registered with the CEC

As the registration process for Albanian emigrants living abroad has begun to participate in the May 11 election process, the number of voter registrations from abroad, which for the first time gives Albanian citizens wherever they live the opportunity to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections, which will take place on May 11, has exceeded 14,000.

According to data from the Central Election Commission (CEC), there are 14,261 registration requests as of (20:00), while 2,352 requests have been approved.

 Regarding registration requests by age group, the highest number of requests is from the 26-35 age group with 4,422 requests, followed by the 36-45 age group with 3,901 requests, from the 46-55 age group 2,662 were registered, and from those over 56 years old there were 1,848 requests for registration.

The youngest, the 18-25 age group, have the lowest number of requests, with 1,428.

According to the data, 402 requests were rejected.

The registration requests come from various countries around the world. The highest number of requests was registered by Italy with 4,289, followed by Greece with 3,011, Germany with 2,353 and the USA with 1,352.
