Eris Mehmeti has been arrested for his involvement in the murder of Renato Hoxhaj, a 58-year-old security guard who was executed near his apartment in the "Hajro Çakërri" neighborhood in Vlora.
Mehmeti, originally from Tropoja, deals with property sales. He is known as a friend of Roan Brahimi, who was executed a year ago in Greece.

It is suspected that Hoxhaj's murder was ordered by a criminal group from the United Arab Emirates.
Investigations show that Eris Mehmeti handed over a vehicle to the perpetrator of Hoxhaj's murder before the crime took place. The vehicle's license plates had also been changed.
Mehmet was also seized from a cell phone that is expected to reveal information about the murder of Renato Hoxhaj in Vlora.
