The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has arrested the head nurse and the nurse of the private nursing home for the elderly "Ruaje olda", who were at work when the crime was recorded in the early hours of this morning.
The identity of the nurses is still unknown, as it is learned that their arrest was made after they did not report the incident.
Sources indicate that the two nurses did not call the Police, but they called the funeral agency.
Before the investigative group, they claimed that they did not understand that Zyhdi Shehi had killed Virgil Vesho, but according to them they thought that he fell and died from this, and not from the violence exerted by his roommate in the asylum.
We recall that around 04:00 in the morning, 78-year-old Zyhdi Shehu hit 82-year-old Virxil Vesho several times with a bostum (iron stick) on the head and body, causing his immediate death.
The crime allegedly happened after a fight between them for weak motives, where it is suspected that the cause was the bed that Zyhdi Shehu claimed his roommate had taken. From preliminary information, it appears that the victim and the perpetrator both suffered from sclerosis.
After the crime, the 78-year-old was arrested by the Tirana Police, as he is accused of the criminal offense of "Deliberate murder".
"He used to bully me, blocked my way", Zyhdi Shehu is said to have declared before the investigative team about his roommate, the victim Virxil Vesho.
