Klement Islamaj, who killed his father and massacred his mother, is left in prison
The court of Saranda has set the security measure of "prison arrest" for 41-year-old Klementin Islamaj from the village of Shale in Konispoli.
The latter is accused of killing his father, 69-year-old Hysen Islamaj, by pushing him down the stairs two days ago, after the latter had killed his 66-year-old mother Shano Islamaj with an ax.
The prosecutor of the case, Valbona Maja, requested the appointment of the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense "murder committed under conditions of severe mental shock", a request which was approved by judge Fatmir Ndreu.
Meanwhile, Klementin Islamaj's lawyer, Merdan Nora, has requested an easier insurance measure as a "property guarantee", but his request has not been accepted.
It was Klementin Islamaj's brother and sister who showed willingness to pay the guarantee, in support of their brother.
Even earlier, when asked, the brother and sister testified that their father was violent with their mother and with themselves all their lives.
In a very difficult psychological state, Islamaj once again explained the chronology of the event to the black squads, stressing that he had no intention of causing the death of his father, Hysen Islamaj.
"I am divorced and have three children from two marriages. Two of the children had been in our house for a month. When I heard a noise from the house, because I was at coffee, my neighbors also told me, I thought that he had done something to the children, but when I went there, I saw that he had hit the mother with an ax, splitting her head open. I saw mom's brain on the ground. I don't know how I felt at that moment. I didn't want to kill him, I just pushed him away." Klementin Islamaj said.
Meanwhile, the funeral ceremony of Hysen and Shano Islamaj took place in the village of Shala yesterday. The bodies were first placed in the apartment and then they were escorted to the cemetery by family and friends.
It is learned that they were not buried together, but in separate graves and far from each other. This was the very wish of the children. Klementin Islamaj himself took part in the ceremony, accompanied by members of the Saranda Police.
The serious domestic crime occurred on the morning of August 6. During a fight in the apartment, 69-year-old Hysen Islamaj hit his wife Shano Islamaj with an ax several times, leaving her dead on the spot. The terrible scenes happened in front of Klementin Islamaj's children, who lived in the apartment with their grandparents.
The sources said that it was the 10-year-old granddaughter who called her father telling him that her grandfather killed her grandmother. Klementin Islamaj, who was in the village cafe, returned to his apartment and after finding his mother dead, it is suspected that he pushed his father down the stairs, who died due to a blow to the head.
