'Bar house' discovered in France, two Albanians arrested

Customs officers in France have seized a large quantity of marijuana in the Meuse department.

In a press release, they announced that they have seized 667 marijuana plants supplied with electricity and water through the municipal network and a water table.

Last November, the city’s customs brigade checked a vehicle in Ecouviez containing two individuals. Customs officers smelled “a strong smell of cannabis herb” in the vehicle and discovered spotlights similar to those used for indoor cannabis cultivation.

The vehicle's GPS revealed the address of a recently sold cabin in the department.

After a months-long investigation, customs officers intervened on Wednesday, April 9, in this hangar where they arrested two people of Albanian nationality in charge of two cultivation rooms where 460 marijuana plants had been collected.

Officers then conducted a search of an apartment in the neighboring city, where they seized another 207 marijuana plants in three more grow rooms.
