Deliberate fire in Qafë Shtame, intervention from air and ground is

A fire broke out in the forestry economy of Qafë Shtama, in the place called above the tunnels of Selixë village, around 11:40.

The fire is suspected to be intentional as it broke out in several different places, endangering significant forest areas consisting mainly of beech forests.

In an effort to curb the spread of the fire, Mat Municipality has engaged all the necessary structures, including the Ministry of Defense and Hygiene Services (MZSH), Civil Emergencies, as well as the Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry.

Due to the large scale of fire spread, air and ground intervention with military forces is required to achieve a complete extinguishment of the hearth and to prevent environmental and economic damage caused by the burning of forest assets.
