A fire broke out this afternoon in the Qoshke neighborhood in the village of Lapardha in Berat.
The fire appeared in the olive groves of the village and due to the dry vegetation and was favored by the wind and high temperatures, it took on large proportions, seriously endangering 3 apartments that were located very close to the hearth of the fire.
4 fire engines went to the fire area. After about 1 hour, the firefighters managed to put out the flames, without endangering any of the apartments, while 2 fire engines from Kuçova and Dimali went to their aid.
As a result of the fire, which was intentional, an area of 3ha of olive groves was burned. The police are working to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the arson.
