Four murders in three days in Kosovo, Albin Kurti: Immediate institutional

Kosovo has been shaken in recent days by murders.

Four lives have been taken in just 3 days, prompting Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to speak at today's Government meeting about the events.

Kurti has requested maximum commitment from law enforcement agencies, while saying that there must be professional analysis, institutional action, and social reflection on everything that has happened in the last week.

"I want to share the same concern with all of you regarding the four murders recorded in the last three days. I invite the law enforcement agencies and investigators to treat with the utmost seriousness the causes, circumstances and predispositions of the perpetrators in order to both bring justice and prevent such acts. Murder is the most serious act between man and man, it must never be normalized. Murder is not only the murder of a person, but also of the society to which he was a part, that is, our society. The entire country has been shocked and hurt by this series of murders that must be stopped, halted, punished. Of course, careful professional analysis is needed, immediate institutional action, social reflection that addresses the violence we have seen in these last days. This is a call to all of us. Also due to the fact that these murders occurred precisely in the week when we mark the 26th anniversary of the NATO bombing of Kosovo to stop the genocide of Serbia and commemorate the successive massacres of the Serbian state apparatus that aimed at the extermination of the Albanian people," he said.
