Today, February 9, the citizens of Kosovo head to the ballot boxes to elect 120 new members of the Assembly. 27 political entities are participating in this electoral race, while 125,852 new voters will vote for the first time.

The electoral process will take place in 941 polling centers, where 2,533 polling stations have been opened for regular voting, while 38 centers with a total of 56 polling stations have been designated for conditional voting.

Meanwhile, yesterday, February 8, voting also took place in 43 polling stations located in 16 embassies and 14 consulates of Kosovo in 19 different countries around the world.

This is the first time that immigrants had the opportunity to physically vote at Kosovo's diplomatic missions.

The outcome of these elections will determine the direction of Kosovo's politics in the stalled talks with Serbia on the normalization of relations.

The election process will be monitored by a team of 100 observers from the European Union, 18 from the Council of Europe, and dozens more from international organizations.
