Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has spoken again about the attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal, which occurred on November 29 in the village of Varage, Zubin Potok.

Through a post on the 'X' platform, he announced that the attack was planned with the use of around 20 kilograms of explosives and had the potential to cause major damage to the country's energy and water supplies.

'Approximately 20 kg of explosives were used in last Friday's terrorist attack on our critical infrastructure. This past week could have been very different had it not been for the rapid, coordinated and professional institutional response to mitigate the impact of the damage.

As an attack on the civilian population, it could have reduced the country's energy production by 60 percent and affected access to water for up to 40 percent of the population,' Kurti wrote.

The Prime Minister has compared this attack to Russia's targeting of critical civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, describing it as an alarming act.

He has also released a video documenting the institutional response within the first 48 hours after the incident.

'This video recounts the events and institutional response within the first 48 hours after the attack, which occurred on November 29. While significant progress has been made, institutional efforts to fully repair the damage and restore normality are still ongoing,' Kurti concluded.
