Osmani meets Zelensky: No one understands Ukraine's pain better than Kosovo

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, as both are participating in the summit of the European Political Community in Moldova.

Publishing two photos from the meeting between them on Twitter, Osmani said he expressed full solidarity with the president of Ukraine, whose country has been at war with Russia since the latter launched an unprovoked invasion in February last year.

"No one understands the pain, struggle and resilience of Ukraine better than the people of Kosovo. Nothing can hinder the will of a people to be free", Osmani wrote.

Osmani is representing Kosovo at this summit in Chisinau, Moldova, where the leaders of the 27 countries of the European Union and 20 other European countries have gathered today to discuss a series of issues, among them the tensions in the north of Kosovo.

The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, is also in Chisinau for this summit. Both presidents, as soon as they arrived at this event, accused the institutions of the respective countries for the tensions caused in the north of Kosovo.

Osmani said that Serbia should stop its activities aimed at destabilizing Kosovo in order to end the violence in the north of the country, while Vucic said that in order to reduce these tensions, the Kosovo authorities should withdraw, as he called, the "alleged mayors" from municipalities with Serbian majority in the north./ REL
