The letter-bomb incident in Madrid/ Are there additional measures at the Ukrainian embassy in Tirana? Clarification in Politiko
After the incident three days ago where a 'letter bomb' exploded in the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid, and as a result an employee was injured, Ukraine has put all embassies and consulates abroad under increased security measures.
This, after this week the embassies of Ukraine in Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, Italy, Austria, the general consulates in Naples and Krakow and the consulate in Brno have received suspicious packages, with animal eyes.
But how is the situation at the Ukrainian embassy in Tirana?
Politiko.al contacted the Ukrainian embassy to find out if there have been similar incidents.
The embassy announces that so far no incident has been recorded and that work continues normally.
"These days there has been no incident with the Embassy of Ukraine in Tirana. The embassy is working as usual", replies the Ukrainian embassy in Tirana to Politiko.al.
