The reason why David Beckham felt so proud of his son Romeo

David Beckham was more than proud after watching his son Romeo score a 25-yard free-kick for MLS side Inter Miami II. Beckham was one of the most consummate set pieces during his iconic playing career, so much so that free-kicks became the Manchester United hero's trademark.

And it looks like Romeo has learned a thing or two from his dad over the years, judging by his stunning shot. Romeo looked eerily like his famous father before unleashing a stunning long-range strike into the back corner of the net during Inter Miami II's 3-1 win over Orlando City II in the MLS Next Pro league.

Beckham immediately shared his son's shot on his Instagram account with the message:

"Congratulations very proud friend. First goal in a MIAMI jersey. I love you dad, this was for you."

Beckham has already shared a number of touching messages for his son since Romeo signed his first professional deal with his father's MLS franchise last September. The 19-year-old, who also plays at right-back, joins Phil Neville's son Harvey, who plays in defence.
