The Brazilian singer was electrocuted and died in the middle of the stage

A Brazilian singer died after being electrocuted during a live performance in Salinópolis, Brazil. Ayres Sasaki, 35, died almost immediately after hugging an audience member who was wet.

Near them was a cable, which caused a fatal electric shock. It is unclear why the fan was wet, but Salinópolis police are investigating the incident.

Hotel Solar issued a statement on Sunday, July 14, clarifying that it is cooperating with the authorities.

"We are fully committed to providing support to his family and taking the necessary steps. We are committed to fully cooperate with the relevant authorities to clarify the facts",  says the official account of the hotel on Instagram.  "Our thoughts are with Ayres Sasaki's family and friends at this difficult time."
