A tragic accident in Bulgaria killed 45 people, including 44 Albanian citizens from northern Macedonia. Only 7 of the passengers on the bus managed to survive the powerful explosion that burned the vehicle.

While the causes of the tragedy are still unknown, experts give to the Bulgarian media Dnevnik , three versions which may bring to light the cause of the accident.

The official version of the Bulgarian authorities, presented by Deputy Chief Prosecutor Borislav Sarafov, consists of two positions: a technical problem or a human error.

The tragic accident happened yesterday morning, where 45 people lost their lives on the road near the Bulgarian city of Pernik. Of the victims, 44 were Albanians from North Macedonia, while 7 passengers managed to escape by jumping out of the windows.

In honor of the victims, Northern Macedonia declared a day of national mourning for three days, while Bulgaria and Kosovo joined it, which will have a day of mourning in honor of the victims today.
