A serious incident has occurred on the Greek island of Paros. A 5-month-old baby was transported to the island's health center without signs of life.

According to local media, it is suspected that the baby was left in the car by the Albanian parents while they were on the beach.

However, their statements are contradictory. The mother stated that the baby was left in the car to sleep while the parents were at the beach with the other children. On the other hand, the father claims that they had taken the girl to the sea with them.

A local resident told Greek television station Star that the family had gone on holiday to Parasporos beach with their four children and that the baby had fallen asleep on the way, suggesting that he may have been left in the car in high temperatures.

The baby's body is expected to undergo an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.

The couple is expected to appear before the Syros Prosecutor's Office in the coming days, while the case has sparked strong reactions in Greek public opinion.
