Italy surpassed the figure of over 30 million injected doses. Meanwhile, 10 million people have been fully vaccinated, foreign media report .

Two-thirds of the doses administered so far in Italy have gone to persons over 60 years of age. Hit hard by the pandemic in early 2020, Italy has recorded about 125,000 casualties from Covid-19, the highest official number in Europe after Britain, with 128,000 lives lost.

Since April 26, Italy has eased restrictions on the coronavirus. In Italy the figures have dropped compared to a month ago, while the vaccination process continues at a rapid pace.
