Tensions between the United States and Russia have taken a new turn after former US President Donald Trump "warned" Vladimir Putin not to play with fire. Through a post on his social network Truth Social, Trump stated that, if it had not been for his intervention, many bad events would have happened in Russia.

The reaction from Moscow was not long in coming. The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, responded in harsh tones to Trump's statements, openly mentioning the risk of a global conflict.

“I know only one thing that is really bad, and that is World War III. I hope Trump understands that,” Medvedev said.
The mutual statements come at a sensitive time for international relations, with geopolitical tensions between major powers on the rise. Trump’s comments and Medvedev’s response have raised concerns about a possible diplomatic or even military escalation.
