Accident at the oil well in Selenica, the responsible person of the maintenance

A serious workplace accident has been recorded in the village of Kocul, Vlora, where a 56-year-old worker was injured during operations at an oil well. The incident occurred on May 27 and according to official data, the worker suffered injuries to his hand, seriously endangering his health.

Immediately after the incident, the Selenica Police launched an investigation to clarify the circumstances, while the responsible persons were accompanied and questioned at the scene. As a result, criminal proceedings were initiated against the person in charge of the maintenance company, citizen AC, 56 years old, for the offense of "Violation of safety regulations at work".

In the official announcement, the police state:
"We referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated in absentia for the criminal offense of 'Violation of occupational safety regulations', for AC, 56 years old, with a responsible position in the oil well maintenance company in the village of Kocul, after GM, 56 years old, resident of Vlora, injured his hand while working."

Further investigations will be pursued by the Vlora Prosecutor's Office, with the aim of fully clarifying the causes of the accident and establishing legal responsibilities.
