US Embassy message on elections, Berisha: The annihilation of Edi Rama

The leader of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, in the conference he held today, commented on the message from the American embassy regarding the May 11 elections.

In a post on social media, the US embassy congratulated the Albanian people on the elections and emphasized that it looks forward to continuing the partnership with Albania, a congratulation that seems to resemble the Albanian people's expression "as much as I can muster".

"We congratulate the people of Albania on the parliamentary elections and look forward to continuing our close partnership with Albania," it is briefly stated on social networks.

According to Berisha, the message is the annihilation of Edi Rama.

"It wasn't like you said, quote a little bit as you said it and then I'll comment. I congratulate the Albanian people. Now what suggestion do I have here for you?"

Go read all the previous statements from that embassy about the elections, to understand much better what the essence of the statement was. This is my answer. Read the ones from 2021, how they were. Read the year 2021.

Read some of Secretary Rubio's statements about elections in different countries around the world. Directly from the secretary, and you will understand well what what you call congratulations for Edi Rama represents, meaning not the elections, he congratulates the Albanians, that's all. There he congratulates the Albanians.

Congratulations to the Albanians. The farce is neither denied nor confirmed. There is one thing here. We who denounce are introduced to new evidence and facts every day, ourselves, because you cannot analyze everything at once.

We are taking them and presenting them to you. So it is very normal. Those who do not want to prejudge are waiting for the final report. This is the rule. But we have changed, we have also changed international reports. We are them, we have succeeded. We make the impossible possible.

In 2001, the most heartfelt congratulations came from all over the world, but they fell to the ground before the facts and truths that we presented, because of course international institutions are interested in free elections and not farces.

No. Because then they go into self-destruction and never accept it. Why didn't Edi Rama greet that congratulation. Tell me a little. He was waiting for that congratulation as something divine. Why didn't he greet it", said Berisha.
