The images of the arrest of the former socialist deputy, Jurgis Çyrbja, when he is escorted by the Operational Forces to the Police Directorate in Durrës, have been published. Çerbja appears with handcuffs and head down, to avoid the cameras, as he walks surrounded by two police officers.

Çyrbja was arrested on Sunday in Durrës, a few days after handing over the mandate of the deputy he held since 2017. He is accused of three criminal offenses: "Active electoral corruption", "Supporting the author of the crime", and "Trading of state secrets".

According to SPAK's investigations, Çyrbja had used the encrypted application "Sky ECC" to communicate with wanted persons, sharing information on documents and acts that constitute a state secret, in violation of the law.
