How Gaz Paja became a strategic investor in Dhërmi, the humor actor's connections with SP

Comedian Gaz Paja has gained the status of strategic investor to build a luxury resort in Dhërmi, a collaboration between 2 companies worth 13.8 million euros. 

"Dhërmi Resort" envisages the construction of a 5-star hotel in an area of ​​25 thousand square meters.

The remaining 108 thousand meters will be used to build villas which will be sold by companies and do not bring any public development for tourism.

Paja claims that in the decision of the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) for the construction of a tourist resort in Dhërmi, no public or state land was used.

According to the decision, Paja is considered a 'strategic investor' and his company 'Ecotech Energy Services' together with the company 'Startek' will invest 13.8 million euros in Dhërmi in an area of ​​133 thousand square meters of land.

But, the actor considers the accusations that a part of public land is included in this area as defamation, adding that the land was bought by legal owners.

Regarding obtaining the status of 'strategic investor', Paja says that this is a right given to him by law based on the value of the investment and that the condition for this is the agreement of all landowners where the investment will be made.

Actor Gazmend Paja has publicly expressed his political convictions and support for the Socialists since 2013.

The peak of his engagement with the Socialist Party was after 2019, for the parliamentary elections of April 25.
