The criminology expert, Ervin Karamuço, has raised concerns about the drug that is spreading widely in our country, GHB, or as it is called the drug of rape.

During an interview on "ABC e Manjesi", he explained how this drug interacts and the effects it causes on humans.

" This year has been a specific one because out of 40 murders that we count so far, we have 12 murders against women. So it's a record. This has become very relevant in Albania as well. We didn't have any big tradition of using these drugs, but we have had a tendency to introduce synthetic drugs these two years, especially after the pandemic from these international festivals, it started in Shengjin, then in Bashtovo, to continue in Dhërmi, where there was also an investigation. GHB is the synthetic rape drug, that's what it's called around the world. It is a substance, odorless, colorless and tasteless. It is a powder but also an ampoule. You can throw it in the glass, a kind of numbness begins. It's an anti-depressant, you relax, your heart rate drops, you lose consciousness and the ability to react, it can even be deadly. People who came from England were also arrested. It seems that a market has been found in Albania by these predators who target women, who also want to exploit them because they have a memory problem because they don't remember anything.
