Egnatia Football Club has expressed its condolences on the passing of its footballer, Raphael Dwamena, who apparently suffered a heart attack.
In an official statement, Egnatia says that Raphael Dwamena left this unjust world as a hero, after he could not overcome the heart attack.
"Egnatia Football Club, the 25th minute of the match against Partizan was a moment of panic for all of us as our captain Raphael Dwamena collapsed on the ground leaving us all speechless.
Despite the first aid given by the medical staff in the field and in the Rrogozhina Hospital, Dwamena did not manage to survive. The captain who fought in every battle did not manage to overcome the heart attack today leaving as a hero from this unfair world. The club, on behalf of the president Agim Demrozi, expresses its sincere condolences to the family of the late captain Raphael Dwamena and thanks the entire sports community for their solidarity", the club's response states.
