It has been officially confirmed that 45 victims of the serious accident that occurred in the early hours of the morning in Bulgaria are Albanians from Northern Macedonia. Among the victims are 12 children, two of whom are twins.
It was Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka who announced the news, while expressing condolences for the lost lives.
Meanwhile, seven people were sent to the hospital for medical assistance. The medical staff of Pirogov Hospital in Sofia have indicated that the injured are out of danger for life.
The accident happened around 02.00 in the morning on the highway 40 kilometers away from Sofia. MV Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and representatives of the Macedonian state authorities have left for Bulgaria.
