Bogdan's friend shares his last message: You told me "I'm not well", I still have these words like nails

Bogdan's friend shares his last message: You told me "I'm not

Gerti Bogdani, the former deputy of the Democratic Party, passed away the day before after a cardiac arrest, while holding a meeting with some colleagues at the "Rogner" hotel.

His friend, Albert Gjoka, has shared on Facebook some of his feelings for Bogdan, where he also shows the last message from the former deputy.

As a friend of 20 years, Gjoka writes that exactly today at 11:00 a.m. they let him meet together. He says that in the last message Gerti sent him, he told him that he was not feeling well, just as he had told his colleagues with whom he was drinking coffee before he passed away.

Gjoka describes Bogdan as a politician who wanted to make politics more moral and ethical, a good friend to others.

POST:

Dear Gert!

We had planned to meet together today at 11.00, but you sent me a message on the eve of the schedule that "you found it impossible" and wanted us to meet another day. I understood you as a friend for more than 20 years, but I couldn't believe my eyes that just a few minutes later, I saw on the screen the bitter news of your departure... You wrote to me at the end of the message that "I'm not well" and these I have words like nails in my mind even now. Maybe, these could have been the last words...

Even today we left to talk about your friend Rolf Moëatt-Larssen's book, "Between the CIA and Faith" and many other issues that brought us together in conversations that lasted a long time. You have been in politics for many years, but you never gave up trying to make politics more moral, - more ethical and better for people and the country. Not even for friends.

We are all mortal, but the many breed of our politicians are soul-grabbers; and you were not like that. You studied abroad, but you came back here and didn't leave the country for a moment, on the contrary, - you proved yourself without giving up for a moment: You entered politics with hopes and energy to do some things better than many others and you didn't give up until the last minute. Like few people, you tried to make politics and faith together, giving value to the former through your example. For this reason, you unconditionally supported the book "Between the CIA and Faith". Today you left suddenly, leaving all of us, your friends, in shock. Ike, as we have no words to comfort our friend and your wife, Edlira, nor your two angels. I bet you that we didn't meet today and we won't meet again physically, but you left us the outstanding mark of a kindred friend, an exemplary parent, a different politician and a man who loves people, his city and his country. May your faith in God and your kindness give you continued life in the eternal journey you have just started! St. Mary in your lap forever! May your faith and example never be forgotten, dear friend!

Dori Gjoka and I are by your side with heart and soul, dear Edlira Çepani, in these difficult moments!
