The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe has voted with 51 votes in favor of the exit of our country from the monitoring of this important organization.

Despite the fact that Albania became a member of the Council of Europe in 1995, it has been under monitoring year after year in fulfilling the obligations and commitments set from time to time, in compliance with the rules of accession.

Already after 29 years of membership, Albania will no longer be a country under monitoring.

For the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, the decision comes due to several factors.
