3 young people collided on the "Tirana-Durrës" highway,

A serious accident occurred on Monday morning on the Tirana-Durres highway, where a 70-year-old man crashed his vehicle into four young people, killing one of them and injuring three others.

As a result of the collision, 28-year-old Gëzim Muçaj lost his life, while Eduart Ripa, Ervin Qira and Shkëlqim Doci were injured and are in serious condition at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

The incident occurred after the van in which the young people were traveling to work crashed into the traffic divider. They got out of the vehicle to see the damage, but at that moment another vehicle, driven by 70-year-old IL, hit them at speed.

The police have arrested the elderly man, while the procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. Investigations are continuing to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
