The blunder of Beqaj's lawyer sent a request to the Health Commission without a stamp and the former minister's power of attorney

The former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, was called today to testify before the parliamentary investigation committee on sterilization and check-up related to the 100 million euro concession for the sterilization of surgical equipment, approved nine years ago.

Accompanied by Ermal Yzeiri, the lawyer of the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, was escorted by the police from the prison premises with the permission of SPAK to testify before the investigative commission. 

The former Minister's lawyer has become the trigger today for debates between the chairman of the Sterilization Commission and the vice-chairman Plarent Ndreca. The sources inform that the lawyer has avoided legal obligations with the request that he started yesterday to the Investigative Committee.

It is learned that the lawyer's request addressed to the Investigative Committee on November 11 does not meet the formal requirements, Beqaj's power of attorney was missing, and furthermore, the request did not even have the stamp of the Protocol of the Assembly.

The meeting of the investigative commission was interrupted from time to time due to the tensions between the MPs of the opposition and the majority, who constantly interrupted each other and blamed each other for preventing Mr. Beqaj from testifying.
